Complete Restoration
We use the highest quality action parts when restoring a piano. Each action is individually analyzed for leverage, geometry and alignment, weight and balance, regulation, friction and damper action interface. Action parts and hammers are then selected for optimum balance, touch weight, feel and tone. These include creating a uniform balance weight, smooth strike weight curve, relocating key leads towards the balance rail to reduce inertia. All actions are custom designed for maximum performance characteristics both in terms of touch and tone.
